Just bought a lovely Astra VXR, however the wheels are in need of some TLC. Does anybody have any recommendations on placed to go to get them refurbished - preferably in / near Edinburgh City Centre?

Cheers

55DW.

I just used The Wheel Specialist - https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/locations/edi... - to do the steel wheels on our Jimny. The rust was blasted off and then they were powder coated black. Very pleased with the results. They also included fitting of 4 new tyres I'd bought online, all for what I thought was a reasonable £45 per wheel.

Cheers - David.

Clark Motorchoice on Lanark Road have a pretty handy refurbisher. Pop in and ask for Dean.

Pentland Powdercoating did a set for me a couple of years ago which were a real mess, came out great and the finish has lasted well. Couple of friends have had sets done too, not aware of them having any issues.

Maybe he should have a look at their current stock as I was looking only yesterday and wasn't impressed at all with the condition of the bodywork or most of the wheels!

Whoever valets their cars needs shot.

Ditto, always had a good experience and used them to do a lot of my customers cars when needed.

I've used these guys twice and recommended them plenty too. Never a bad work heard.

I used their Cumbernauld branch to refurb 5 diamond-cut wheels and would also recommend them smile

Took the cx-7 in today to get my alloys refurbed at The Wheel Specialist in the Gyle.

Dropped the car off around 8am and it was ready for 5.30.

Really pleased with the finish. Gave them a coat of g-techniq c5 to protect them.

Changes the look of the car nicely methinks.

Obviously early days but seems good vfm,I'd rather pay a bit more for a quality service.
