Hi there,

The PCM unit in my wife's 2005 Boxster has died and I am looking to get a replacement head unit fitted. As the car has the Bose system this doesn't seem to be a straight forward job. Does anyone know of any decent car audio places in the Glasgow area that could do this for me? I've had a couple of quotes but both are for over £1k and I know people have had it done for much less else where.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Not local to you but I would try Ray Smith Audio (http://www.raysmith.co.uk) in Dunbar. They fitted new speakers to my 911 (964) and found them to be really helpful.

Unfortunately most car audio places have gone down the tubes in the last 5-10 years.

Ron who runs http://www.mf2k.co.uk in Glasgow (Ignore the bad website!) will certainly be able to sort you out. Great chap, very knowledgable.

Cheers guys, I think Dunbar is a bit far, but I will give Ron a call and see what he says.
