Black ice on the M74 this morning
Discussion
I was headed South about 14:00 on Sunday.
Stopped for fuel at Abington and saw a gritter / plough heading out.
As soon as I got back on the road, really heavy hail stones and very bad visibility.
I passed the gritter / plough and then it was chaos.
Two cars into the Armco on the left and then one into the central Armco (police stopped traffic to get it on to the hard shoulder).
Quite an eventful journey for me as I had a trailer tyre let go on the M90 spur earlier.

It's a long time since I've seen a tyre quite as bad as that.
