A9 average and roadwork areas?

Hi all. May have messed up and I'm hoping someone can alleviate my concerns!
Drove the a9 on Friday. Kept to 70 for dual carriageway sections and 60 for single carriageway.
Only thing is there was an area during the dual carriageway with roadworks. There were signs for a temporary 50mph limit at the roadworks, but my speed camera app (cameralert) said that the average cameras in this area were still set to 70mph and there seemed to be another bunch of folk still cruising at 70. It had been a long day and was late in the evening so I stayed at 70.
In hindsight I really wish I hadn't, but I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this section, and if the average camera speed does drop to 50 for the roadworks section? :/

You'll probably be OK. Where were the roadworks?
South of Perth the DC sections are controlled by ASC, but might not have been reconfigured (or be in the right place) for the ASCs to operate.
North of Perth the ASC's only work on the single carriageway sections as far as I know.
Also, as far as I know the ASC's on the a9 are only set up to work in one continuous speed limit, hence the northerly DC sections not being covered (all permanent cameras are in SC zones), and the 40mph dualling section having additional temporary cameras installed for the 40mph limit.

To be honest i don't really remember, i'm terrible for zoning out on where exactly i am and relying on satnav! I just remember the roadworks were bang in the middle of a big stretch of average speed cameras that were all registering as average 70 for miles before/afterwards on my app.
I think this was a bit before the single carriageway section, and i don't recall seeing a 40mph, only 70/60 with 50mph for hgvs and possibly two reduced 50mph roadworks areas, although one was particularly short.
I'm bricking it because I'm two months short of having driven for 2 years and really could do without being smacked with some points for the first time :/
