Edinburgh Council to spend £180k on potholes
Discussion
Today's Evening News article http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/edinbur...
Maybe if they'd allocated £1.8m then they might have made some headway.
On a mere £180k, this can only mean "chuck another spadeful of tar on the hole and watch the hole re-appear again the first time anything bigger than a 2CV goes over it"
Certainly is a good way to encourage the people of Edinburgh to shop in Livingston or the Metro Centre!

Edinburgh doesn't like the car remember, they think (along with alot of other places) that if they make it bad enough then nobody will drive.
I'm convinced this is what the government wants us to revert back to, as long as you move your horse out the way for a councillor passing by in a publicly funded rolls royce.

When the reality is...... make it bad enough, no body will fking go there!! then they'll start moaning about how nobody goes in to the City Centre anymore blah blah fking blah......I'm convinced this is what the government wants us to revert back to, as long as you move your horse out the way for a councillor passing by in a publicly funded rolls royce.
No time for these aholes on councils really.
Not sure
I have been in Holland where it works fine
Disconcerting when you first come across it but once you realise there are slow cars sharing road with you very quickly you realise that you have to look out for them likewise the cars do watch out for the pedestrians and Cyclists everyone accepts rules and it works
Different culture
Now whether locals in Kirkie will grasp that concept is doubtful
