We have these cameras now active northbound and southbound stretching from Rosyth, over the Bridge all the way to Scotstoun.

Question is, have you or do you know anybody that's been caught by the cameras on this stretch?

I don't know anyone who has and when I regularly drive that stretch (42mph max) I get passed by people who don't seem to care! It's especially bad as soon as you leave the bridge southbound, do people not realise there is a camera at Scotstoun?

Either people know something I don't or the tolerances for getting caught are quite high....

Funny, this topic has appeared on PH in at least 3 forums in recent weeks.

Anyway, to answer your question: Me.

53 in a 40 at Admiralty junction. When the cameras changed from 'under test', to 'live', I got done for 53 in a 40 as I missed that the 'under test' signs had been removed.

However, I'm through them every week now with cruise set to 46 (10% + 2)

Thanks for replying, I should have used search first, apologies!

So that's one verified, was this southbound or northbound?

Still doesn't answer why some people go bombing past.

I wonder if the way they are paired affects things, if you go southbound, first camera post at Rosyth/Inverkeithing has three cameras mounted. (Two main carriageway one offslip) When you reach the next post there are only 2 cameras, covering 3 lanes (Also two main carriageway one offslip) Does this mean the first post is paired with the next 3 camera post (nearer the bridge) or does one of the cameras not work...

Northbound for me, and I haven't sussed out the pairing.

As long as I get through at 56 then i'm cool, but hate the 48mph brigade when I'm trying to get to Aberdeen airport at that time of the morning.

I was over in Glenrothes last weekend - I live in Lanarkshire and have daily trips through all the SPECS camera on M8 / M74.

As I was going over the FRB northbound I was wondering why I was overtaking everyone - yes I saw the 40 limits but everyone seemed to be doing less than that.

Then I realised there were signs for average speed cameras and these camera were very noticeable on the north side. However coming back over later, I admit I didn't have a big look (as an ambulance was trying to get past me with its blue lights on) but on the south side there only seemed to be one bank of cameras and these seemed almost to be too far over towards the slip road to actually capture the normal traffic?

Amazing how easy it is to miss these, I am usually a careful driver and am used to the daily SPECS routines but I must have been on auto pilot (Think I will blame the passengers for nagging me that we weren't going to make the swimming cut-off time).
