Future Property Auctions
Discussion
Anyone been to one?
Looking for a new project and finding prices for renovation projects a little optimistic from the run of the mill estate agents, so been keeping an eye on the FPA catalogue.
However, the catalogue for the December 2015 auction seems more or less mirror the listings for the March 2016 catalogue. Do the lots simply not sell or is it a worthwhile auction achieving guide prices?

From my area they seem to be trying to sell property I'd need to be paid a considerable sum of money to take ownership of let alone pay them money. They never sell and lay empty and go further into disrepair.
Sometimes they need to be honest but seem to be promising the seller something from nothing.

They do seem to sell the odd place but a lot seems to languish for months/years showing up in successive auctions with no price adjustment, eventually disappearing but not selling; at least a few properties I was interested in did, I kept tabs on them and they've still not appeared on the Registers of Scotland so no sale. Bad advice or just stubborn/deluded vendors? It does seem a bit odd. I've been to a couple of the sales nights and it just seems like any other auction, although I can't claim a huge amount of experience.
