Adam at S1 recovery took my car from Machester to Inverness at very short notice, very very good service couldn't recommend him highly enough.
He's very well known in the classic Ford community among others although google doesn't throw very much up there are threads running on forums of the work he does and places he goes.
More expensive than Shiply but I wouldn't use anyone from them again personally.

I'm based a few miles away from Crawley - My recovery driver for all my prestige transport is based there (He does Harwood JLR deliveries).
IF you don't mind it being driven, that can be done by me personally (I'm asked to collect/deliver cars for customers all over the UK & into Europe.
If transporter is a must - It can be done, but by it's nature it's never cheap unless it's shared with 4-10 other cars a la Shiply, but then you're at the mercy of their schedule rather than one that suits you more.

Hi luggit.
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster, so hope you don't mind me asking who you are using to transport your purchase, and how much?
Recently I nearly purchased a car from a dealer in Crawley, West Sussex, but someone beat me to it (could it be you?). I was quoted around £850 by the dealer to deliver to Aberdeen, which I thought was a bit expensive. I actually live in Edinburgh, so hope it would have been a little cheaper.
Thanks - David.

Also looking for a potential transport solution over Easter weekend.
Plan would be to ship the car to Inverness or Aberdeen and then do the NC500 loop with any ancillary must-do thrown in...
contacted a few of the names mentioned here above.. let's see.. car is a bit wide and quite low (GT3) and needs a lot of attention during transport so keen to find a reputable and trustworthy company..

5 Star Transport travel from Aberdeen to London every week leaving Aberdeen on a Monday and Back on a Friday afternoon with a large open transporter. They collected my 991.2 GT3 from Kent and took it to Aberdeen no problem as they have LOHR trailers which are very adjustable for all types of car/van. I have used this company for over ten years.
