Alloy refurb - recommendations
Discussion
Hi folks
My alloys are in need of refurb, there's bubbling on at least 2 and kerb marks on all 4 - I bought the car with them like that, not my fault I promise! Wanting to get them refurbed ASAP, any recommendations as to where? I'm in Dundee, happy to travel if it's gonna be a good job though.
Thanks.

Heard good reviews for http://www.coatech-powder-coating.co.uk/contact.ph...
Hate to be contradictory, but having used coatech a few times in the past, they are a bit too hit-or-miss to get my business again.
I haven't used these folk yet but have heard decent feedback so will likely go here next time I need anything refurbed http://www.diamondwheelstech.co.uk/

I wouldn't touch Coatech anymore because, like Renmure, I have seen some pretty shoddy work that they've done... which is a shame because 10 years ago, sending wheels to Coatech for a refurb was a no-brainer for me.
I've used Diamond Wheels in Dundee, had to go back twice to get my requested colour of 'anthracite' right, rather than murky silver. They also put my four genuine BMW centre caps in a tub with a whole heap of other BMW centre caps (genuine and replica), which made getting the correct caps back again a total nightmare.
The finish was pretty good though, although, I don't think that I'll get my next set done there... have heard of a place in Fife which seems to have a great reputation, so will likely try them next time I need wheels done.
Cheers,
Grant

I'd avoid Coatech- and that's with them being 2 mins along the road. I sent mine all the way down to Lepsons.
Agreed, had 2 alloys down at Lepsons and it was a superb job. If it's for a VAG type run around I'd stay local for convenience but if they are high end alloys or have a specific finish I'd go with Lepsons every time. Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
