Chaos on the Edin City Bypass tonight.

I got caught up in the traffic on the bypass earlier on, was unfortunate enough to see someone get hit by a car as I was crawling along. It was pretty chaotic with Emergency vehicles in weird places and I saw a polis running down the hard shoulder. I've seen some people on ttter talking about someone with a knife running about the carraigeway but you never know how accurate these things are.
Anyone know any more? Either way, quite a mess and both directions still shut AFAIK.

Seen this last night, heard someone was wandering about carrying some sort of weapon. Was it this person that got hit by a car?

Other half was caught up in the traffic, saw police car travelling at high speed down hard shoulder. Response vehicles have to be careful not to introduce their own risks to a situation.
