"Supercars on Edinburgh Bypass"

Heard on Radio Scotland this morning that there were tailbacks on the bypass as cars were slowing down to look at 3 "Supercars" parked up in a layby.

Anyone know anything about this?

Probably Italian classics and probably broken down. Wasn't me though.... for a change!

No, it was our friends in Loanhead and appeared (to me) to be a cheap publicity stunt.

There were 6/7 cars parked in the emergency layby between Straiton and Hillend - I noticed an R8 convertible, Lambo, Ferrari and Nissan GTR but didn't pick up on the other 2/3.

They all had hazards on so probably claiming a breakdown, but then the company van just happened to be parked up on the Dreghorn flyover about 1/4 mile further on.

I was late into work because of it - I thought it was a smash, but no, just idiots slowing down to gawp.

Didn't see any supercars but there was a "Performance Portfolio" branded van parked on one of the bridges above the bypass this morning.

I figured it was some sort of publicity crap, I was stuck on the Eastbound side for a wee while, not what I wanted after a nightshift .

As mentioned above, not the first time either. Obviously no shame, I'd be mortified to cause that much distruption!

That kind of backed up my thoughts - when I heard it on the radio I thought it might be this mob.
No such thing as bad publicity "they" say !

It becomes bad publicity when lots of annoyed, late folk enter their phone number into every call back form for PPI, whiplash, etc .

If that's true then they are s took me an hour to get round.
