Last week I noticed that they'd repainted the lines on Newbridge roundabout, it also seems they've made a hash of it. Coming from Broxburn, to join the M8 it's signposted to stay in the RH lane but following the lanes on the roundabout you end up going into the industrial estate and the M8 exit now comes from the left hand lane. Anyone else noticed this? I'll bet it's caught out a few people so far!

Yeh drive round that every day in the lorry

It's most confusing coming from the m9. Stay in usual right lane and cars coming
Through from the left and keep in left lane you end up getting cut up by cars ect.
Can't win

Yes, I did notice it. Thought I was tripping the first time, as I couldn't work out what I'd done wrong to cross white lines! Who do we report it to? Only a matter of time before there's a shunt.

Spotted that too. Having already been t-boned on that roundabout by someone when the markings were correct, this won't help any situation.

Edinburgh Council has somehow managed to get even more half arsed (quarter arsed now?) as of late, if that was even possible.

http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/info/20089/roads_and_p... is the website to report various faults. Highly doubt anyone at the council actually gives a st though since it's Edinburgh council...

Makes sense from M9 now, (heading south) after the A8 slip the left lane is to the B7030 (Mcdonalds, petrol station, industrial estates. Right lane to A89.
The previous left lane for A8 as well as the slip often caused conflict with people trying to come round the roundabout cutting into people in the correct lane.

Do't think I'v been on it from A89 though going east or south yet though.

I think that's a slightly different issue - the one I've spotted was coming from the B7030 and going round the roundabout to go to the M8. You're advised by lane markings to be in the right lane of 3, then the white lines take you to the right lane of 2 (when you're between the A8 entrance and exit), but the road markings change so that the left lane of 2 is for the M8.

That's how I noticed. Wondered why I was pointing towards McDonald's!

Glad to see it's not just me imagining things.
