It's filthy!

There is a fast boat that gives joy rides up and down the clyde. However there aren't many (that I know of) places to actually tie up a boat.
Plus i'm not sure if the sea plane restricts things too?

Sorry to be a pedant, but the footage above a congested (built-up) area isn't legal.See my video here, look how brown it is at the Transport Museum:

There's a small scrap metal barge that goes back and forth many times everyday
There is usually a boat taking passengers between the city centre and Braehead but haven't seen it this year. I see jet ski's a lot and the odd pleasure boat, including a nice boat last night, but it's not that busy.TheJimi said:

I know it's not the nicest river in the world but there are plenty of boats going up and down all parts of the Thames and it's not exactly the nicest either. I just wondered if boats weren't allowed up or maybe had to pay?
If you were taking your boat from the marina at Inverkip to the Broomielaw pontoon it would take around 2 hours or longer depending on the type of boat. That's a round trip of at least 4 hours with the upper section of the Clyde having to be navigated at only 5 knots which is a bit tedious.
It is the kind of trip you might do once out of curiosity but you would be unlikely to want to do it again !
Regarding the comment about seeing Jet Skis on the upper Clyde many people are unaware that they are actually prohibited from being used up river beyond the Erskine Bridge.

Thats really interesting, I live by the Clyde in the city centre and see them a lot. Doesnt bother me but I assume the Police should be removing them?It is the kind of trip you might do once out of curiosity but you would be unlikely to want to do it again !
