Glasgow - Pollokshaws Rd Bus lane
Discussion
Was driving along the non bus lane yesterday and taxi waiting to turn right when oncoming traffic allowed.
I automatically checked mirrors etc and passed taxi on the left hand side, putting half the van into the bus lane but the other half still on the right hand lane. It seemed silly to sit and wait for the taxi to turn right when there was nothing coming up behind me!
Is that enough for me to expect a ticket?

Just found this googling

"The enforcement system uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, where the camera will determine whether or not the vehicles entering the enforcement zone are on the approved list of vehicle registration numbers (VRN). If the VRN is not on the list, an evidence pack is generated containing a video clip of the vehicle which is then reviewed by an Enforcement Officer.
If a driver is found to be illegally driving in a bus lane, a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will automatically be sent to the vehicles registered keeper by the council including digital images of the contravention, to minimise challenges."
I can only hope they are true to their word and do review each one although with the numbers caught in the City Centre bus lanes I don't think there is a hope in hell that each one has been viewed, most likely fine automatically generated.
Oh well, see what the postman brings...
