M8 Police Escort
Discussion
I've seen the convoy a few times coming off the M80 at Kirkintilloch and Robroyston, M8 at Blochairn - 5 or 6 bikes, a car or two, 3 or 4 X5s/Shoguns and a small G4S van?
They switch routes frequently, I assume in case there's any plot to free the prisoners - this morning they took the scenic route past the Gadloch near Lenzie and made me late for work! Pretty impressive seeing how the bikes work as a team by riding ahead to block junctions then overlap, allowing the main body of the convoy to drive without interruption.
I'm led to believe it's the trial of the 3 guys who were plotting to kill ex-UDA chap Johnny Adair - but my source is the woman that runs the local coffee shop so who knows...

Never seen this convoy but I was in a coffee shop in Ayr a few months ago and Johnny Adair was sitting in there with two meatheads having a coffee. They switch routes frequently, I assume in case there's any plot to free the prisoners - this morning they took the scenic route past the Gadloch near Lenzie and made me late for work! Prisoner transport from Low Moss Prison to the High Court. A google search of current cases will provide the names of the passengers.
Think there might be two separate convoys, I've seen a convoy coming off/going on the M8 at Shotts a fair few morning over the last 2-3 weeks. Motorcycle cops, couple of shogun-type vehicles and a van. Unless the prisoner/s have been moved to a different prison very recently.

Whilst close to Low Moss the convoy Ive seen isnt coming/going to/from there (they passed the Low Moss cutoff on the Lenzie Rd, its low security anyway isnt it?), they have come off the M80 or M8 from East of Glasgow each time - from Shotts or Addiewell prison?Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
