Currently with Vodafone who gave me a free upgrade to 4G earlier this year. Problem is, I don't get 4G at work (Hill of Rubislaw area) and the 4G signal seems so low quality everywhere else that the actual browsing etc. isn't really any better. I've also been a bit hacked off at the dropping standards of customer services lately.

Thinking about O2, any good around Aberdeen, mainly west-end area? Or any other network worth considering?

I was with O2 and found them rubbish. Moved to EE and it's a massive improvement.

I'm with 3.

And whilst the phone says it's connected to a 4G signal, the speeds are 2-3 megs tops.

Used to live in Mannofield, my wife received over 20 meg there from O2.

Vodafone is awful in Aberdeen.

EE is ok, but it isn't as fast as it used to be. It's also miles slower than other cites with 4G.

Do not go with O2, utter ste! Ok in the city but if you dare venture out with there is nothing. I used to blame my iPhone for crap signal until I used someone's on EE. That would be my recommendation as well.

EE Gets my vote, 4G almost all over Aberdeen and 3G where Vodafone and O2 struggle with a phone signal let alone 3 or 4G data

Thanks for the responses guys. Not that keen on EE as my mrs. was with Orange who then became part of EE and she had no end of hassle with them. She went back to O2 and seems to think they're better, but she doesn't really use apps etc. so not a good judge of 4G performance, hence the thread.

So it sounds like they're probably all much of a muchness in Aberdeen then.
