Performance Eccosse sell performance cars in Lothian so they might be worth a shout, guess they'll have a trusted garage or even an in house mechanic that could help you out.

They are a stones throw from us and I've never heard of them, must've recently moved there.

There's Simmonds in Livingston (BMW & Merc specialists) http://independentmercandbmwspecialists.uk/ or you could try a mate of mine who runs a small garage in Newbridge - not a BMW specialist as such but he owns an e39 M5 so he could be of help.
