Hi,

I'm organising a stag do at the end of June, off to Glasgow. The stag is a huge whisky fan and I'd love to spend a few hours on the Saturday visiting a few distilleries.

Can anyone recommend a company who could do this for 11 of us? Ideally leaving 9am ish, back by 5 or so?

Thanks!

Or they may be able to do bespoke if you ask

Had a great tour booking direct with Auchentoshan distillery in January, in Clydebank Glasgow, my 80yr old dad had to be carried to the car, was hilarious and the staff couldn't have been more knowledgeable or friendly smile

Thanks, I was hoping I might be able to make it to more than one distillery but will take a closer look!

I would suggest a trip to Auchentoshan and also a tour round the Tennets lager brewery.

If you are set on another whisky tour Glengoyne distillery is just outside glasgow

I'd be wary of doing the Tennents tour. They might make you drink the stuff. How about:

Ok, so this might be beginning to look like a plan:

Glengoyne
Auchentoshan
Templeton

Could do all three if we start at 10am. smile

Any minibus companies to go with/avoid?

Highly recommended, I actually enjoyed it more than the Guinness brewery tour in Dublin. Pretty small, but they have a good story and are passionate about their beer. The young Irish chap that led the tour knew his stuff inside out (there was a group of Chemistry teachers on our tour who were trying to be smart arses asking technical questions and he blew them away then asked them questions they couldn't answer!) which made it more interesting, and they also do pretty decent food if you want to finish up there and stay for the rest of the night.

Glengoyne is a very pleasant spot. They offer a few good tasting tours.

Timberbush will do a bespoke tour of several distilleries i'm sure. They usually start at 8am from George square.

I'll pm you if one of the guides comes into my work tomorrow, I'll ask.
