Depends on just what you are looking for but my brother is a IFA, based in Carnoustie, I can PM his phone number if you like.

He specialises in the insurance side of the market and he has a colleague who specialises in investments and pensions.

Ask to see their last 3 years tax returns. If they'ré making more money than you, they must be pretty decent. If not, they're not!
