[quote]The route can be completed in a long weekend, or over several weeks on a more leisurely schedule and can be explored as a loop or in part.

Hmmm, I reckon it could easily be done in a day, might have to find out!

I saw this few days ago and since I do photography I am really tempted to do it and maybe stretch it out over a few days and just camp on the way around and hope weather stays good. (i know there is no chance haha)

I have done most of this several times. Utterly brilliant when the weather is good.

1000% agree. I did most of these roads last May in an 800-mile Scottish tour and it was incredible. some of the scenery around the Tongue/Durness area and down to Ullapool is breathtaking...and the roads ain't to shabby either smile

We also got lucky with the weather - think over two full days my sunroof was closed for about 45 minutes

Testing the waters for a long weekend pootle along that route (ish) mid summer as a group?

I say ish, it will have to include a few other half decent roads in the area, and try and avoid a few others.

1 day! Bloody Hell.

Surely it could not have been that much fun?

I think the idea is to spend a good few days doing this, enjoying all aspects of the trip.

Where can I get a route? Or is it a case of plotting on a paper map?
