Hi all,

I'm getting married in June, and to cut a long story short a long honeymoon is out of the question.

So, I'm (we) are going to Scotland for 3 nights, and also to return my best man to you!

Anyway 2 questions :

a) Can anyone suggest anywhere to stay. The perfect thing would be Castle on the shores of a Loch somewhere - preferably around 3/4 star as it's a honeymoon, but anywhere clean will do as long as it's not a B&B!! Otherwise it'll be the shortest wedding in history.

b) Classic And sports car hire - I'd like to give myself a little wedding present while I'm up there and something not too extortionate for a few days would be good too. Any recommendations?

May thanks in advance,

Cheers,

JC

A friend once stayed in Culzean Castle, said it was very romantic, he proposed there (turned out later she was the psycho bitch from hell, but that's another story)
www.culzeancastle.net/

There is Cameron House on the shore of Loch Lomond:
www.cameronhouse.co.uk (I see this is as above) - this is good due to proximity to Glasgow for excellent shopping, and it is on the A82, which os the start of some spectacluar drives - if you end up there let us know and me might organise a wee tour up through Glen Coe - spectacular is not a good enough description.

Wow!!

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I had in mind.

I've past on your replies to the "boss" who will ultimately choose, but wherever she decided to stay, I've set my heart on driving around in the E-type!!

Thanks again to everyone who replied and if anyone else thinks of anymore, please pass them on.

Thanks again,

JC

If you want to please mrs.jconsta6 (which I'm sure you do!!), I highly reccomend the Ardanaiseig Hotel. (Check out the website www.graysweb.clara.net/ardanaiseig/hotel/

The rooms are amazing (each one different) and the food is unbelieveably good!!

Thanks Matt,

The hotel is sorted now - however I can't remember which one it was! I'll have to look back.

Sadly budgets for the whole wedding have dropped so the E-Type has now dropped down in spec a little to a Mondeo....Hmmm, not quite the same, but at with all the cutbacks on this thing I'm just glad I've still got the same wife and not had to downgrade on that either! - I did suggest it, which nearly resulted in having to find a stand in wife too...

Thanks again for all the help and the offer Matt.

June is coming incredibly quickly!

Cheers all,

JC
