I've relocated about month ago, from Poland to Glasgow, still in the transition - but I'm feeling its time to relocate from my 'old' forums to PH wink

So hi everybody. I'm middle age player, played cars last 15 years, mostly - comfy hi-output youngtimers (lets translate - cheap big rusty bangers). First (and still a bit) with granadas ('86-'91 only), next fords US (Explorer, lovely Thunderbird), next GM (pontiacs, camaro), and one little Japanese scared Vitara in the middle wink wife's ofkors. Up to 6-7 cars in yard, typically from 2.5 to 5.0 engines, mostly autosticks, only petrol (and LPGs sometimes) - crazy insurances and fuel costs. Sometimes I bought back cars I sold, mental in all. But happy wink Last 10 years or more all DIY, include engines and autotrannies, even, em, respray trials.

But that life gone now - I started to sell "collection" long before relocation (merkur scorpio (US granada) last autumn, my lovely camaro month ago), still 4 cars 'stay' on me. Customized granada 1991 and vitara should go this summer, but I have no idea what will be with pontiac fiero (damaged electronics, project not finished) and what about heap of cars parts and trash I accidentally collected.

Here in Scotland I'm driving the finest personal carrier I know - pontiac Trans Sport 3.8 GT, its useful in trans-EU relocation, for obvious. I sold this one about 4 years ago, but bought her back about 2 years ago (did I mention I'm mental? wink maybe not, if this 19y old van, cheap as chips, could fly more than 10000km in May...). So if anybody has seeing red noisy low-flying US locomotive, with polish plates, somewhere between West End, Clydebank and Drymen, its me.

I have no time at all, as you could imagine, with new job, new places, family spread around EU and UK, etc etc but I plan to look PH forums sometimes - mostly Scotland, US cars. But no time for technicals or flamewars yet wink

Back to cars as real hobby in Scotland, and to collect again - goddess knows, in next few years, maybe.

Regards.

After two years I should say Hi again... I dont remember this years, it was blink. Still in Scotland, same places, people, even same job.

I read PH sometimes but I dont speak if I have nothing to say.

About cars - from previous life and country, near all gone. After first year with pontiac van, I brought to SCO my old customized granada '91 just for fun (I use company car as daily mule), we had couple of trips across Scotland and EU; it was so well, she only left of fleet - back in PL and stay in garage, MOTed and insured, just in case, as much better option than rented cra... cars. Rest, even beloved pontiac fiero, had to go.

But, as I said two years ago (couse I know my addiction), it will be time to collect again. So we just bought our first bargain banger in UK - lexus GS300 '97, first gen. Cheap, comfy, nice car, still DIY-able, good for age, and perfect fit in our niche. Rust not-so-free, unfortunately. So I am diggin web for details, knowledge and stuff, and PH somehow back to me.

Maybe I will be more active on PH this time? We'll see.
