Kyloe - nice steak restaurant in the Rutland Hotel, next to the Caley. Shouldn't have difficulty parking in Rutland Square.

Parking is always difficult in Edinburgh.
About two notches up from Franky and Benny's is "Illegal Jack's near Tollcross" serves steaks and Mexican food IIRC (google that one). There's also a multistory nearby.
Kubla Kahn is literally miles away, and good fun, but not really great food. It's more like freeze dried Zebra reheated and sold as a novelty where you make your own recipes. I'd go there with kids. Parking is around the streets nearby, just don't wander too far off the beaten track.
You can also go the Filling station in Rose Street, it's an American diner style experience. You could park at the St. James' centre nearby. There's a Jamie Oliver restaurant nearby which is alright for a chain.
If you keep walking down Rose Street you'll also find the Dome along with a few other tourist focused eateries. Almost all of them will do steak of some description although none really springs to mind.
There used to be a great place called the sizzling Scot down by Haymarket but tragically it's gone. Recessions are s
