Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend me a Jeweler who might be interested in buying a set of Jacket Buttons.

Got a full set of hallmarked silver buttons which are gathering dust.

Aware it wont be anything like retail but a few £ for something not doing anything might be worth investigating.

cheers

I would think that is a bit specialist. You may get a few quid from an actual kilt maker for them other wise I would almost suggest taking them to a cash for silver type place.

Post them up in the classifieds, I for one would be interested.
Questions, Argyle or Prince Charlie jacket, or more specialised?

BTW, If your situation is that you are having to sell them then I'm sorry, but believe me (as I was told) your time will come again (and they were right).

My immediate thought was McCalls Jewellery in Aberdeen as they've been buying and selling jewellery as long as I can remember.

In looking up their contact details, though, I twigged that they're apparently the same business as McCalls Highlandwear Outfitters.

Couldn't be much more appropriate than that, could it?

If you wanted a valuation, perhaps a local PHer of good standing would help you out.

Cheers,

Eric smile

Just got the mothership to send me some pics (they're at hers) - trust me the process of getting a 60+ to use her new iphone4 is quite a mission.

Pics to follow...

Sorry for delay...

Here's the boys in question.

Excuse the photo quality, mother grappling with technology.

Have found out they were from Walkers in Dundee originally so will give them a call.

Bit slow off the mark, but did you get you find a buyer for your buttons? Always fancied a set but couldn;t justify the retail cost!!
