Howdy,

With the new house now getting near how we want it, we are needing new windows as the ones we have are the originals and cause obscene amounts of condensation which will likely ruin our new carpets and sofa!!

There are hundreds of companies out there and sadly, most have terrible feedback/reviews...

Any good experiences out there?

Typically on a small budget, but we only have a small house with 4 windows and the back door needing done.

Thank you all!

Marty

We went with these guys.

http://windowadvicecentre.co.uk/

When we first heard about them we figured it sounded too good to be true but talking to some people at my work it turned out a few people had used them with universally good things to say.

As it says on their website they come out and take measurements and ask what sort of windows you after (didn't know there was so many types to choose from) and they put the job out to tender. No other salesmen come round, just their guy. They come back with about ten quotes and comments on their construction methods and previous feedback on the installers. You pick who you fancy and pay a deposit and that's about that.

I'd definitely use them again even just to cut down on the hassle aspect.

If the above is no good then my OH's uncle & cousin are joiners and have fitted windows for clients. They did a superb job on my OH's parent's place.

Sounds very good - really appreciate that. Will pass on the details to the OH/boss.

Cheers both.
