Can someone recommend me a good BMW independent in Glasgow? I've always taken my 123d to Douglas Park, but as it's almost 5 years old and coming up to 85k I can't see the benefits of main dealer servicing any more...

Could try BMW independent based in Ibrox, they do merc, Audi and BMW. Very helpful guys, way cheaper than HB. Labour rate is £55-£65 per hour. Last time I wa in HB in giffnock when asked they quoted labour rate of £105!! All that 'free' coffee, wifi, glitzy customer area comes at a price!

R W Weavers in Cathcart looked after my 530d (up to 180k). They only deal in BMW's and know them inside out. Not the most salubrious place mind you - if you're after WiFi and a fancy coffee with a service then look elsewhere!!

Have used 'B for BMW' (http://www.b4bmw.co.uk/) in the past and they've always been fairly decent with reasonable prices.

Hart Motors in Clydebank, they don't do much in the way of advertising but they specialise in German, mainly Merc and BMW. They have looked after our Merc E-Class since 1995. . .no complaints at all.

Another vote for B4BMW in Clydebank. I have used them for a few years as both A4Audi & B4BMW and always found them to be spot on (and a lot less expensive than main dealers).
