Needing help with 'vehicles of interest' this September ...

Hi folks,

As well as being a car nut and active PCGB member (Porsche Club GB member - Ive got a 997 tt) I need some help from some likeminded people .

I live in Bothwell, Lanarkshire and Im involved with the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival an annual community event taking place every September. Over the years this has grown into something far larger than anyone ever anticipated . Its a week packed with local activities, events,farmers market,flower festivals, craft exhibitions, puppet shows, comedy night, beer tasting, historic village walks etc .

Anyway my point is this ............

We were hoping to gather a selection of vintage /older vehicles or vehicles of special interest for a display as part of the festival within the village on the Saturday 14th or Sunday 15th

I realise that I’m probably asking quite a lot here but we do work extremely hard to make every year a bigger success than the last and I hope that likeminded enthusiasts like me can club together to assist with this request.

I apprecaite any feedback / suggestions / comments / proposals etc in connection with making this day a success and if you have something interesting feel free to drop me a line .( we're not so much looking for modern machinery here )

There are lots of nice cars in our area. Boyd Tunnock in Uddingston has a few nice older cars. What exactly are you looking for? A 1960 mini may be of interest! Lots of ferrari lambos etc in the village as well as nice TVR's etc etc

May be happy to lend one of my old buckets if these are of interest and I am here then! I may be on holiday, but have mates in and around who could drive them up for you

Guys that's prefect - just the kind of assistance I was looking for ..... Paul I appreciate your offer as I know you stay in Uddingston - what cars do you have ? I know of your Lambo but that's all . A great suggestion about Boyd Tunnock - ill drop him a line . Can you send me your email Paul so I can keep in touch ?

Re the TVR & Cortina guys - we have have another meeting on the 4th March although I'm away skiing but ill make a report for the meeting and if its ok I'll try and narrow down exactly the numbers that we are after .
