Hi guys, I am popping up to Inverness next weekend and looking for somewhere pleasant to eat.

We both lie Italian but can go anywhere really. Only thing I like is a decent portion compared to the cost. ( I'm a Fifer so a bit tight)

Any recommendations?

TIA

There is a Zizzi in Inverness. Last time we were there for the marathon it was the only place we could get a table. Even that had to be outside by our request as the whole city was rammed. It was actually very good, and good value too.
There are some nice local places too though, most people I know recommend The Mustard Seed.

If you're a Fifer, you'll be taking yer own loooong handled spoon ( Soz ,mate ,couldn't resist) .(As in it takes a long spoon to sup with a Fifer)

Yes The Mustard Seed is always recommended. Another is The Kitchen just across the river.

I highly recommend Kool Runnings for some awesome Jamaican grub. Scallops, pulled pork cheek, ox-tail stew and the curried goat are all fantastic smile

Don't expect much from the decor though, its all stereotypical Bob Marley and Free the Weed posters and the toilets are, erm.... basic is probably the best adjective! The food more than makes up for this though.

Hi All
Stevens Brae across from M&S there is a wee place called little Italy, great food, family run, owner sometimes will sing in Italian, great fun, lots of atmosphere, not a lot of covers so I would book.
No 27 in Castle St, again good food reasonable prices.Good selection of beer etc.
Mustard seed good but pricy.

Hope this helps
