Bit of a long-shot but thought it worth posting in the Scottish forum too. My (other) pride and joy was stole from the driveway last night. Space grey with M6 alloys. I'm sure its either burned-out or in a shipping container but thought I'd post anyway.

Ta.

Images to help folks.

E61 M5 touring is rare. M6 alloys make it more distinctive. Elements such as the quad exhausts distinguish it from an M5 copy.

How do you have photo's of the OP's car. Where were you last night?

Car has been recovered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was parked-up under 5 miles away, presumably seeing if it had a tracker or not. Apparently a TT and another sports car were taken from Edinburgh/Livi last night too and there has been a spate of these recently, so its an organised bunch.

Thanks to Lothian & Borders finest, they've been incredibly quick to react this morning, top effort all round.

Well done L&B bib. Fantastic news as those M5 estates tourings are pretty scarce.

Great news OP.

Can I ask - how was it stolen? Did they gain access to your house and took the keys?

Glad to hear this was recovered, good job.

Quite why L&B disbanded the stolen vehicle squad I have no idea.....

Have we established who 'Mik OK' is yet?

Yes, they broke in and stole the keys rather than the other methods we've been reading all about.

Glad you it back!

Where about in Edinburgh?

Not heard about anything like this round these parts.

Disgusting!
