I'm out on the western side of Insch and need to get some tyres fitted to my Land Rover Defender. Tawse in Inverurie wouldn't supply the tyres I wanted (Grabber AT2) and wanted me to buy much more expensive Goodrich T/As. (I got the AT2s for £118 each, the T/As from Tawse were almost £150.) Tawse won't fit tyres they don't supply.

I tried Tyre Devotion, the mobile fitters a few people on here have recommended, as they're used by JD who do a bit of work on my Defender. Norman says he only fits tyres he supplies, too. I've spent the morning phoning around but keep getting told "we only fit tyres we supply".

Can anyone recommend a tyre fitter in this part of Aberdeenshire who will fit tyres they don't supply? I'd prefer not to drive all the way for Aberdeen if possible.

Try Donside Tyres in Alford. Andy the owner has fitted tyres for me in the past I got at Camskill.

Colin's in Dyce have fitted tyres for me not supplied by them.

They were competition slicks but worth a call.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'll start with Nene and work my way out.
