Can any of you guys help? I went on a wee adventure day a while ago in Perth and part of the day was spent shooting targets with air rifles. I really enjoyed it and was quite good too.

Now, I have no desire to buy a gun of my own but would like to go and do it again. Does anyone know of a range or somewhere I can go where I can hire a gun, buy pellets and shoot targets?

There's a place at banknock just near castlecary arches that has an airgun shooting range, as I write this the name cloy or cloy bank estate springs to mind.

If anybody fancies organising a day a airguns and shooting clays I'd be up for this, as long as I get kmm and jc in my team and def uncle Paul qv.

Let me know if you don't get any joy, I stay just minutes from there, I'll pop in and have a word!

Not a lot of people know this but myself and kmm had a motocross race in the fields of the estate about 18yrs ago, as anybody that knows us can imagine it was not competitive or silly in any way at all.

It was more than 18 years ago. It was either 1991 or 1992. I had borrowed my brothers KX500 and from memory it was neck and neck until you "leaned on me" on a corner and pushed me into a tree. My shoulder took the brunt, but managed to stay on the bike.

Years later we met at the Denny Strathcarron Hospice 10km (2001). He laughed and called me fatboy. I had a good run coming in at around 39m 50sec, but the best bit was i sprinted by a few people at the end and when i looked round i saw flippy's wee face. There was a look of surprise and ashame that "fatboy" had just passed him.
So in no way are we competitive.

Finally got a reply. Here is the email:

That's no problem Brian. It's normally £25 per hr per gun but with a group we offer discounted rates. For a group of 10 it would cost £50 plus £5 for lunch totalling £55 per head. For your group we can offer you a package as follows.
Lunch menu
Chicken curry rice/ chips
Cheese burger chips salad
Home made soup and filled roll.
Tea coffee or soft drinks

Shooting
2 hrs shooting with all types of rifles and pistols from 44 magnums to James bond replicas.

Cost = £45 per person.
If you need to get in touch you can call me on 07515876654.
Regards
John.

Anyone interested?

Not sure on their discounted rates unless i'm reading it wrong.

"It's normally £25 an hour, but for you pal i'll do a 2hr bloack for just £50"

Definitely up for a wee day out though.

He says

£25 PH Per gun 2 hours would be £50 but with 10 or more people with lunch it's £55 for 2 hours.
Then says £45 !

Not sure of the pricing policy.

Are they all Air Weapons that just look like Magnums etc?

If that's the case, I'd just go for an hr use one rifle and have a bit of a laugh, probably for 10 of us he'd do it for 20?

Or we'll all go to the carnival and get 10 shots fur a pound........
