I know wheel refurb has been covered quite a few time, but i'm looking to get my summer alloys done on my daily runner. It doesn't need to be top quality as i don't want to spend top money on it.

I found a place in Glenrothes for £35 an alloy which seems pretty good, but somewhere nearer or Edinburgh/Glasgow would be nice.
A friend said there is a place in units beside Edinburgh Costco?
Any suggestions welcomed. The tyres are off the alloys, so just a refurb with no tyres to remove or put back on.
Thanks.

If the place behind Costco is Pentland Precision Engineering (PPE) then I don't think they'll beat £35 p/w bud.

kenny, fiat at earls gate, its either £45 or 35 a alloy or £165 all 4. same day return if you drop them off at 8am

I think its a guy called Jason to speak too. Taking the RS down to get them done. I chipped the front right alloy, its gloss black under so I think the previous owner had gloss black wheels and just painted over.

Either that or skidz do them aswell

Chameleon metal coatings in Renfrew or ESP coatings in Glasgow are both cheap.

Thanks for all the replies guys, i will get on the phone tomorrow and let you know my findings.
Skidz definately don't do alloy refurb as i have asked before. They will be puting my tyres on once the alloys are done.

Okay tongue out I'm contemplating on getting mine sprayed gloss black. The chaps at The Wheel Specialist in Edinburgh (Gyle Industrial Estate) did a good job on fixing one of my alloys.

Pentland Precision did mine (a few years ago) for that price. Did have a mate who knew the guy but I got the feeling if you went in and asked for a good price you'd probably get it.

They do the proper sand blasting and powder coating so they get a really good finish.

Would definitely recommend them and would go there again.

PPE and ESP coatings same price at £40+vat per alloy, so £192 for the set. I found a place in Glenrothes called Fife Powdercoating who are doing an offer through the scottish vag site, £140 for the 4 alloys. I'll take them up this week and post up a few pics of the finished job. This offer is on until 1st Jan i believe.
