Watched the BTCC this afternoon and what a pleasure it was to see 'Flash' Gordon Shedden win his maiden BTCC title - thoroughly well deserved in my opinion - he's had his ups and downs all season but has really shown his class and pace whenever the opportunity arose.

Here's hoping this is just the start of many more titles...

My apologies but I only ever read the 'Scottish' part of the forum so didn't see this. Looking on the bright side at least I wasn't complaining about some roads being shut...

Getting the topic back on track (scuse the pun). Big congrats to Gordon, did some work on his house this year and didn't realise what a decent guy he is or how unglamorous a drivers life can be, these guys work seriously hard and spend a crazy amount of hours racking up motorway miles just getting to and from tracks. Really pleased for Gordon and his miss's, top people!

Apologies for my incredible stupidity in making this thread, I clearly got overcome in the moment in seeing a Scottish winner winning the UK's premier motorsport championship.

What possessed me to post a congratulations on a website that purports to be for car fanatics and motor sports enthusiasts is beyond me. It was incredibly stupid.

Thanks to the moderators for changing the title of my post.

Nothing worse though than avoiding news/result etc all day at work or where ever then what you are trying to avoid popping up where you least expect it.

Been doing that all year when SKY has an F1 race and BBC has delayed coverage - right PITA

But yes totally agree with original sentiments well done Flash!

Really? Does it not give enough warning that the thread is entitled 'BTCC Spoiler'?

For the record i also got the news via Knockhill FB status update. Before i seen it.

Well done to him though, cracking wet racer.
