Irvine Car Centre - anyone used them?
Discussion
Hi chaps,
Just in the throws of looking for a car for my parents and one has come up which is of interest at Irvine Car Centre. I haven't rung to find out more yet but as the garage is 300+ miles from me, thought I'd have a google.
Some of the comments aren't great, but as with anything, its usually the wronged that like to publicise it, so I'm taking them with a pinch of salt at the moment.
Has anyone bought from them or does anyone know about them? Any experiences would be appreciated, by PM if thats approipiate, as I don't want to drive or fly up there if they've got a bad rep locally or are known for selling sheds!
Cheers

There was a piece a year or so in paper up here not very complimetary but could have been a one off
long way to come to look at a car must be "pecial"
Yeah, I saw the atricle when I googled which made me look into it. The car is kind of special - there's 500 or so for sale on Autotrader, a little over 100 within budget, only one with the three "nice to haves" on spec. long way to come to look at a car must be "pecial"

Hi mate, that garage is round the corner from me (literally!) - I can go and have a nosey at the car first if you want to PM me any details. Have heard mixed reviews about the garage's aftercare - but never had an experiences personally!
Great, thanks for the offer. I'll sit tight a minute based on what I've been told and I think it would have to be treated as a "sold as seen" purchase so is pretty much out the question. Its top dollar for the age too, but is a good spec, so if I don't have any joy, I may get in touch, ask you to have a quick look, see if its tidy. If its totally unloved (kerbed alloys, parking dings, cigarette burns (or even a smokers car - parents are avid non-smokers!), its comlpetely out for me.Thanks again fellas, all help greatly appreciated.
