Woah, unbelievable. What causes this? Does it happen regularly?

I think it's just the riling up of the sea that causes the foam! And the wind has blown it inland. Not seen it like this before though!

This was the scene only moments before.

Me and a few others got our proton packs out but we had no idea that it would cover fittie like that.

I posted a few on the other thread, but this is the most spectacular thing I saw today:

Fairly large tree came down taking the wall with it, blocking my mate in as that ally leads to his building!

Horrendous walk to and from uni today, I got drenched grumpy

I suspect a record number of MX5's in Aberdeen will be chopped in due to overpowering rust issues this winter! hehe

A guy I work with had this tree come down in front of him as he was walking along Springbank Terrace this morning. Luckily it landed on the roof of the van behind the driver. He said it was also on the top of a mini parked on the other side of the road.

In many years living in the beach area of Aberdeen and after experiencing storms worse than this one, I've never seen that foam before. Water on it's own does not do this. Note that there is a large sewage outfall in this area. I would be going nowhere near it! biggrin

It did look a little 'mucky'!

I originally thought it may have been caused by some chemicals or something else in the water, after all there is a lot of shipping and things going on in the sea around there.

At least it has calmed down now, the wind and rain were really bad yesterday. It was a bit depressing, especially after the nice weekend!
