Anyone used Kaim Park garage in Bathgate?

They have a car in stock i'm interested in (unfortunately it's for the Mrs and not the RS4 Avant they have for me frown).

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Never had any dealings with them, but they have been around for ages, always have a stock of really nice motors and seem to move them quite quickly.

I had a really poor experience there, but it was so poor that I assume it was a one-off aberration or else they would have been out of business long ago.

They had a Ferrari 360 Spider advertised. My Perfect spec. Turns out it was the garage owners car.

I called to enquire about it one Wednesday morning. I was actively looking to buy one so had a fairly detailed list of questions covering mileage / service history / condition / spec etc. Salesman gave me enough good answers to confirm that the car, if as described, was almost perfect so I said I would drive the 80 odd miles to view that afternoon at 2pm. All agreed nicely.

Arrived to find no car. Salesman said the owner was still using the car and only put it in the showroom at the weekends. He also said that the owner wouldn't be back till the next afternoon. He said he thought I was probably a timewaster and wouldn't come to view. He did appear very sheepish and appreciative that he had made a balls up.

Only 2 positive things: First was that I was a wee bit uncomfortable buying from a non-specialist so that was the kick in the ass I needed to have a rant and walk away. Second, I stumbled across a fantastic ice cream shop a couple of miles away and had a HUGE raspberry ice-cream.

Like I said before, it was soooo bad an experience that it can't be the norm otherwise they would be long gone.

my mate bought a 307 HDI few years ago. The dual mass fly wheel needed replacing 2 weeks later. Lots of angry phone calls. Finally they told him to bring it in. Week later, no calls about car he heads down there. Car parked up with the boot full of bits and the car not starting. Not sure what the eventual outcome was, but not worth the risk for me. Try the chaps bellow. Bought a few of each never had any prob....
