M74 accidents today at Uddingston cut off

Passed here today at about 6.15 and saw the remains of what appeared to be two separate accidents but maybe was all the one.
First one, very sadly, was what looked like an absolute pristine F Reg Mk1 Fiesta which major accident damage to the rear but further along, was a Mark 2 Fiesta, maybe an XR2, with accident damage to the front. I so hope they weren't travelling together in convoy!!!
Then further along another 3 cars, one of which was a 61 plate Alfa Mito that had a caved in back end as well!!
Not a good day for these car lovers!!
But does highlight an increasing problem at this M73 junction in rush hour where traffic tales back past the slip for the Uddingston cut off which can lead to all sorts of problems.
