The MK2 bucket has landed.
Discussion
Yes, i am now a Discovery 3 owner.
The car managed the 200 mile trip home with no fault's so it's already up a point from the mk1 bucket.
Almost everything works as it should, the auto box will take a bit of getting used to and i even broke the 30mpg figure going home.
The wheels could do with a light refurb, there's a small tear in the leather in the driver's seat and a glovebox catch doesn't work.
Shall be interesting trying to clay and polish it on saturday as it's MASSIVE!
I knew they were big but wasn't quite ready for just how big they are.
Anyway, time to go to college so it can stand out in the row's of clio's and corsa's...

Welcome to PH Bucket. Be kind to your driver, he is a touch like Alfie(you know, the loppy-eared thing that insists on sniffing all your crevices) young, enthusiastic and a bit crazy. Don't break his spirit or his wallet, we'd hate to see Alfie do without his Good Boy Choccy Drops, though no doubt Don Paul's babies would persuade him to give a small monthly donation as a sort of adopt a Lab in need charitable act by way of atonement for his profession.
eta OMG just seen reg number now pics are up............Grace Jones on the stereo at all times - Slevvv to the rhythm!!!!!!!!!!

It's a 2.7 tdv6 HSE auto.
Full black leather interior, sat nav, heated elec front seats. Headed middle seats. Head mounted DVD player system. Front rear parking sensors. 19s, tints, some sort of telephone system thing. Triple sunroofs, harmon kardon sound system and more stuff that i can't remember.
Reg plate won't be staying with the car, getting swapped back to normal plates when paperwork comes in.

Very nice.
I'm led to believe 30mpg is rather impressive from one of these, my mechanic has one, and his averages more like 20mpg, same engine and 'box as yours.
Which is a point actually, if you don't know of a good garage that'll look after it for you, I'd highly reccommend the place I use in Motherwell, The Garage.
Have you heard Marc's story about the gearbox? *gulp*I'm led to believe 30mpg is rather impressive from one of these, my mechanic has one, and his averages more like 20mpg, same engine and 'box as yours.

Good work Alan!
Olie, can always rely on you.
Still doing over 30mpg, but had to fill it up. £118 lighter now
My insurance went up by a massive..... £44 to £385 FC for a year.
Oh and how people can think I'm talking about a mk2 escort is beyond me. I thought it was well known on the Scottish forum that the "bucket" referred to the freeby and my desire to change is well known.

Direct line. Not bad for being 25.
Many years of work and saving have gone into getting it, so I'm rather pleased now I have it.
Plus side, it fits on the driveway! Just. But still fits. : hehe:
Ahh, I was going to say! Didn't get the impression you were as old as that! Well done on the car though!
