I'm looking for somewhere local to store my classic car. Does anyone know of/or have anything available?
If you are meaning a garage as in somewhere that stores classic cars and will have a mechanic to periodically start them, check the tyres etc and ensure they keep running, I would have a chat with Graeme Crombie. Believe he's part of the partnership thats just taken over Begg's old garage but more relevant, has a great number of years experience dealing with classic Porsches etc. If there is somewhere, he's likely to know about it.If you're literaly just meaning renting a garage/lockup, I'd struggle in Milngavie and Bearsden. Only ones I can think of are round Victoria Place near Milngavie station or up the back towards Milngavie llibrary. Both, would I buggery store anything valueable in there.
Thanks. I know Darra who owns Beggs now and dont really want to impose/ask him to put a car there. I'm with you about those locations was hoping someone had an old relation locally that I could stick the car in their garage that was within walking distance. Dont really want it to be much further or I'll just not use it.
Might be worth putting a postcard in the window of the shops in Baljaffray precinct and Mosshead.
Lot of the streets down the bottom of Grampian Way have their garages out the back separate from the house, thats the kind of garage I reckon people might let out as its not really intrusive to their house.
Equally the low rise blocks of flats across from the shops in Mosshead have garage blocks separate round the back.
