Got a bit of a project over the next few months on the Spitfire.

Does anyone know of a decent supplier in Central Scotland / Glasgow / Edinburgh who does Cellulose paint / thinners etc?

Cheers for any leads.

There's the place out at Airdrie, ScotPaints i think it's called.

That's where i get all my paint gear from in the past.

It's not actually in Airdrie, it's out towards the Motorway, starts with a C.

Only lived there for 3 years and can't remember what it's called boxedin

I ended up getting mine shipped from Jawel, couldn't find anywhere up here who would supply me a large quantity.

I have to say after painting mine in 2k, id never use cellulose again though.

Unless you have a paint booth or the right breathing gear 2k clears are a tad dangerous, i use paints4u online that has cellulose, 2k, or 1k basecoats and clears.

Chapelhall.

Also used ScotPaints (admittedly only once) and had no issues, I was a bit of a newby/numpty but the guy behind the counter was very helpful, asked me what I wanted to do and talked me through what I would need, how to apply, finishing etc.

Thanks all. I think I'll give Scott Paints a try. Found Jawel online too.

The owners club seem well priced for the colour coats but good to have somewhere local.

Cheers all.

The Falkirk one sounds promising. For some reason I'd thought they were closed down but if not they're the closest.

Economy Autopaints in Falkirk were spot on. Had some Inca Yellow Cellulose mixed up in minutes.

Recommended.

great...... it's always nice when a recommendation works out well. I would feel bad if you were disappointed with the service or product. I've always find them good.
