Well it appears I have fallen foul of the moderators in asking if any on you were going on a CHARITY run which I saw advertised on PCGB site At no point was I promoting or associated with this worthy cause, All I got by way of explanation was I have broken rules on a no reply email. Looking at event I dont think it is for profit it appears to be a vey good charitable cause so why pull the thread?

As the event is not for commercial gain or profit, all money raised is going to Help for Heroes and Macmillan Cancer Support, I cannot understand why a post for the event for these two great causes would be removed by moderators either!

Seems mad to me. Although they pulled the SuperCLAN thread last year.....

Utter madness.

I can see the reason for the rule in other areas of PH (to avoid every man and his dog posting links to their just-giving page) but this was doing no harm whatsoever.

Cheers,

Eric

Just for info and clarity an emasil would have been sent when the thread was removed it would state something similar to the following

Sorry for the deletion but the rule of posting No. 16 clearly states that you may not “Promote charity events or recruit for charitable donations.”
If you wish to promote such an even you must first seek approval.

If you wish to post a thread of that nature then I would suggest that you first seek approval.

Nothing more to add other than if you feel that peeved then contact Haymarket directly.
