It was almost the end for me a couple of hours ago. I came up to this roundabout in the outside lane. There were two cars in front of me, one in each lane. I followed the car in front. I must have hit some diesel, the back end just went. Managed to regain control so a happy ending for me.
A big thankyou to the guy in the silver car in the left hand lane who appeared to notice me sliding and backed off to give me some room. I hope I didn't stray too far into your lane or give you a fright.
I've been round that roundabout a lot quicker than that in the wet before without a problem. Hence I think there might be some diesel spilled on the road, possibly from the buses coming out of the park n ride.
If anyone else is passing this roundabout take care.

Which direction were you going mate? It is a particulary bad roundabout for diesel spills, I go along the A71 every day so have spotted a few. Not as bad as the one that leads to the bus depot right enough but still more than average.
So many buses going round it I suppose its always going to happen.

It's always diesel, isn't it
Fair point
, but I've had a Scudo van on opposite lock round that roundabout presumably on diesel/water
Not sure if related, but on the day in question Quality Street and then Queensferry Road (westbound) were absolutely awash with diesel just after 5pm. The road surface was a rainbow and the stench was very strong. Saw several vehicles sliding it round from Quality St to Q'ferry Rd.
