MS Project (2010) Training in Aberdeen?
Discussion
Any suggestions for a good place for a MS Project (2010) course in Aberdeen?
It's a foundation type course I need. I've used Project (2003) before but I use it so infrequently, I forget the fundamentals and it takes me ages to get going again.
Now I've had Peoject 2010 installed ... and it's all different again!
This one looks about the right level but they haven't got a course scheduled until the week after next.
I was hoping to get something sorted out a bit quicker than that.
Any pointers much appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for geting back to me.
I’m ashamed to say I just don't have the discipline for online training.
A few years ago, I did actually do some P6 training – it was conducted by a sweary man with a pony tail in Torry.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Eric

No, I don't need a certificate.messcotti said:
... or can you pick upthe software?
I already have it (MS Project 2010) on my laptop.messcotti said:
TBH, there's not much to it and I'm sure you can find something online!
The way my mind works, I need to be interacting with a human for the information to be absorbed properly. It doesn't necessarily have to be one to one, a classroom would be fine. I zone out from time to time and I need to be able to ask someone to recap the last few seconds.I’m ashamed to say I just don't have the discipline for online training.

Primavera P6, however.......
I don't disagree. Normally, if I was on a big project, I'd have a planner / costy working for me who was proficient in P6. The job I'm doing at the moment, however, just needs a couple of high level schedules lashed up - so a planner can't be justified.A few years ago, I did actually do some P6 training – it was conducted by a sweary man with a pony tail in Torry.

I believe he is - or at least someone told me very recently he was.
Do you need to resource load your plans Eric or not? I can do most stuff in MS Project 2010 but never did get my head around Microsoft's ideas of effort - I was a P3/P6 jockey for a number of years and that made much more sense to me!
