I've got a set of E46 M3 brakes which could do with a skim. Is there anywhere in Aberdeen(shire) that does this? They are off the car. Any idea on prices? They are OEM drilled discs incase that makes a difference. Just need the outer lip taken off I guess.

I'm out in Westhill, but prepared to travel?

Is he ok with drilled discs, I know a few places who won't entertain these.

PM me details if you don't mind smile

4mile garage in Westhill skim disks! Not expensive about £70 per axle.

Come again? £70 to skim 2 discs..! :O I was looking for somewhere to do a pair of used discs I bought, and was thinking maybe £10-15 per disc.. Those that I've bought just have a build up of pad material / corrosion, so might just give them a rub down and fit anyway..

Yes. £17 to do the disks, then 1hr labour + VAT...It's not rocket science.

reviving this thread to see if there's any recommendations for brake disc skimming for my E46 M3 which I've recently bought. Front brakes are fairly new but I'm getting a judder under braking. Most likely I'll have the discs off the car to take them to get skimmed but can leave them on if any decent recommendations.

I spoke to the guys at the Westhill Service Station and they confirmed that they could skim but that my brakes were too large.

Refreshing this thread as my car developed a brake judder after not moving for a few weeks and the discs had got very rusty where they weren't covered by the pads. Despite driving a few hundred miles last weekend (the rust disappeared in a few miles) there was still a judder when braking from motorway speeds. Station Garage in Kintore skimmed the front disks on the car for £70 and brakes are now smooth and judder free once again. Took about 90 minutes in total.

Just replace with new. I ended up replacing shortly after. Waste of money.

Eurocarparts do offers all the time.
