The Cat went in the Freelander and it will cost me £350 to replace it. However I have been told to keep the old one since they have a scrap value of £50 or more, is this correct?

No idea of the scrap value, but I imagine if the platinum can be recovered then they will be worth more than normal scrap.

I sold the standard cat from the s70r on Ebay for £70 ish a while back. It was purely for scrap as the buyer asked for it to be removed from the downpipe to save on shipping.

Hmm online price for this cat seems to be around the £120 mark, I think I will call Farmers and tell them to stuff it!

The front pipe and cat went on the missus's beetle.
Cost £140 supplied and fitted. The guy who fitted it said he had recently done a Golf and it was over £300 (even though parts are supposed to be the same).
