Secret Super Car Rally
Discussion
Hi,
I remember in August that there was an event where numerous supercars toured across Scotland. Unfortunately I missed it and was wondering if it was happening again in 2012?
NOTE: I don't want the route revealed as that would be stupid because it is a SECRET rally. However a PM would be nice.

Ask Strathclyde Police - I think they forgot it was a secret! I remember in August that there was an event where numerous supercars toured across Scotland. Unfortunately I missed it and was wondering if it was happening again in 2012?

Why pay to go on a supercar rally when you can join the PH crew here who have a cracking selection of cars and are a welcoming bunch from "corsas to carerras". All have been made welcome
We had a meeting last night in tinderbox and meet up on the 3rd wednesday of the month for anyone who wants to talk cars to come alongThe runs are open to anyone as this poster said, no matter what non nissan micra you drive!
It would also be good if the OP perhaps gave his real name and details. You cant be uglier or more strange than me so don't be scared!
I think i started the run idea on PH in Scotland? Anyway as others have said, come along and meet people even if it's just at the start of the run. My experience is that everyone is very nice, happy to chat or expalin and show their cars, and from time to time passenger seats are avaialable.

He wants to see a veyron, that's all, that's why he asked for the Glasgow based veyrons home address.Scottish Spotter, I think you need to chill on the posts a little, make an introduction and get to know the folks on this site.
They are all nice folks but your posts can put people on edge esp wanting to know the locations of some cars, although I have been informed you are a young lad with an interest in cars many however don't, for all they know you are a car theif scouting for cars to steal. (if that is the case I will PM my address
)
Lets face it you already have a good contact (in ABZ) to know when shows will be taking place
So sit back get involved in threads when you can and get to a meet if/when you can.

I should also have clarified this.
There is a supercar club run down south, by several guys on here. I am now a member of it. I am hoping they will join in and have a separate display at my next Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day on 12 August 2012
The term ' secret supercar run' is a fun term. It isn't secret. The runs raise money for charity. They are for members of that club in the same way as pistonheads runs are for those on here or Avril has her own website etc.
The runs are for fun and chat. They don't want people turning up thinking they have something to prove or show up others in a bambed up corsa or who want to drive dangerously etc
As Big craig said, he has been invited along to various runs and is only 17 and gets passenger seats. I know his grand father which did explain a few runs, but he did a lot himself using manners and persistence
Have a nice christmas
