My mate lives over there and drives an aston that colour, but def not him. just phoned and he was out n the Range Rover

Does not look to good for the Asotn though as sucking water through the air intake isn't clever!

Hope car was ok

Surely that has to be the daftest "I wonder if I can get through?" of the year, I'd have thought twice in my 4WD, but in an AM?

I never took the photo so not sure whether the water has risen between the driver trying to cross and the photo but Yes, either way it's been a bad decision that's probably finished the car, as you say, good chance the engine's been hydrolocked and damaged any of numerous parts, not to mention electrics, interior with full electrics etc etc.

Glad it's not anyone you know.

The intake on my 156 GTA is stupidly low also, there isn't room anywhere else in the bay for it. So I had to turn back this morning near Bridge of Weir at 5:50am, as the road probably already had 10" by then. My 30min commute took 1hr 20 and that was leaving the house at 5:45am. Worse if you stay in Greenock.

Is the aston confirmed as wet and dead?

Would love to drive through that bit of water, the bucket loves big puddles.

Im not sure if this AM is a V8 or not but the one i actually saw was a limited edition DB7 (round rear lights and 5 spokes etc) on the back of a recovery lorry
