I see average speed cameras have recently been installed from the start of the M9 Spur all the way to the Newbridge underpass, covering the 40mph zone that's been set up for the new bridge access roadworks.

Anyone know if they're active yet?

Do you mean from newbridge up to the A90 or from the A90 down?

Are they on both sides of the motorway or just the one side?

I've only noticed them southbound from the A90/M9 spur junction towards Newbridge so far.

If I make it home that way tonight I'll check northbound.

I don't recall seeing any notification/warning signs, so I guess they won't be in service yet.

Supposed to be both sides (no ideal if they're both active yet though). Cameras will also appear between J1-J2 M9 (both directions).

bloody ridiculous over in Fife where they extend onto the A92.

Basically now, Newbridge to the M92 is completely covered by 40mph cameras barring a short section before and after the bridge itself.

Travel that section everday to get to Stenhousemuir. Warning signs are up so I have treated them as live. Still many people making decent progress through them!!! Wouldnt want to take the chance. Must say they are a real pain in the arse.

Not sure if they are active yet. Travel it every day to Newbridge aaarrrrgggghhhh!! Suppose I get the reason for it if there are workers on the road. Does anybody have any idea of the plans yet?

when you pass them at night there is a red glow in the screen that means they are on.
