Hi Folks,

The gearbox on my aging Legacy 2.5 (53 plate) seems to be dying at an alarming rate. In the last 6 months it has gone from perfect to sounding like a group B rally car to sounding like a bag of spanners in a tumble drier. The rest of the car is in good nick so would like to keep it.

What to do? I am cash strapped so would appreciate advice on where to take it/what I can do to get it put right as cheapy as possble. No stranger to a set of spanners so would be willing to get under myself if needs be smile - Based in Aberdeen area.

Thanks in advance
Rob

gearbox fixed by Clarkmotorsport - have to say did a great job and charged a very fair rate. Took out box, split it open and diagnosed fault, replaced bearings on mainshaft and put back in - all seems fine since.

That was a top tip - thanks !

No worries,

Heard they were fairly priced through a thread on SIDC. Glad you got it sorted.
