Time for a spark plug change on the ute again but the coils are a pain in the asre to get out.

The original set had some type of grease on the inside contact so im looking to find out what it is so i can coat the inside of the new coils.

Anyone any idea what i can use as contact grease to make it easier to remove the coils?.

I would use a very light smear of high temp lithium grease is all you wold really need if they are a pig to get in and out, I never use any myself a light coating of oil might do as well.

Sorry i think i miss understood do you mean the spark plug threads? Or the electrical contacts them selfs?

if electrical connections use a silicon grease and it is fine for that application molycote e111 is good stuff as well. But any Silcon grease will be fine really.

Sorry i meant the electrical contact of the plug and the coil.

The original set had a grease on them and they came off easily.

The new didnt so leave the rubber protective shield attached to the tip of the plug as there is no grease on them. Gets quite annoying as its quite a deep hole to dig it out before removing the plug.

I use DC4 but only if you want insulation qualities, and to keep water out.
